Title: (Ongoing Study)

A Prospective Case Study Using Puros Demineralized Bone Matrix with and without Cortico-Cancellous Chips in Extraction Sockets for Alveolar Ridge Preservation

Study Objectives:

This study is aimed at clinical and histological evaluations of Puros Demineralized Bone matrix (DBM) with and without Cortico-Cancellous chips in the extraction sockets for alveolar ridge preservation of patients who are contraindicated to immediate implant placement. The specific aims are to verify the following:

  • Necessary volume for blood clot is obtained by the study treatment.
  • Preserve a long enough time physical integrity in order for new bone to be deposited.
  • Only a minimum amount of resorption of the newly formed bone has occurred that is acceptable.
  • A high rate of ridge augmentation in the healing of extraction sockets, mostly in horizontal direction.
